A man facing two trials, one on drug charges and the second for dragging a dog behind his truck, had dates set for those trials on Tuesday morning.
Jimmy Lovell, 47, was charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals after a dog, named Little Brown Dog by her rescuers, was dragged behind his truck. He was tried on those charges earlier this year, but it ended in a hung jury. He will be tried again on February 5, 2013.
The drug charges came in April, after KPD found Oxycodone and Xanax inside Lovell's home after complaints from neighbors. Investigators say he was dealing drugs inside a school zone. The trial for those charges was set for December 5.
