Two dead in Fentress Co. crash

Two people are dead following a head-on collision in Fentress County.

It happened Tuesday morning in Jamestown.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 79-year-old Wade Stephens was driving north on Highway 127 when he crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 77-year-old Willis Jones.

Both were pronounced dead. Troopers are investigating why Stephens crossed the center line.
