Arson investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that destroyed an abandoned home.
It happened just after midnight Friday on Vucrest Avenue in South Knoxville.
The structure was fully engulfed and had already collapsed when firefighters arrived on the scene. The Incident Commander ordered a defensive attack to reduce risk of injuries and protect occupied homes near the fire.
The fire was under control in less than 16 minutes.
Knoxville Fire Department answered a fire at the same address last Winter which left the structure powerless and abandoned at that time.
