Knox County Democrats spent Friday evening honoring the 33rd president of the United States.
Hundreds of Democrats gathered at The Foundry for food and drinks and to honor President Harry S. Truman.
Each year the party uses the dinner as a fundraiser for area Democratic candidates.
Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero was the master of ceremonies for the night.
Organizers say they honor President Truman because he was a model Democrat.
"President Truman was a great Democrat... plain spoken, from the Midwest, and he had strong Democratic values, those that we ascribe to in Tennessee," said Chip Forrester, chairman of the Tennessee Democratic Party.
Tickets for the event were $60 a person or $600 for a table.
