Knoxvillians will soon have a new option for enjoying the city's urban wilderness.
Workers installed a couple of kiosks on Friday along the South Loop Trail which will open to the public on Tuesday afternoon.
The Legacy Parks Foundation says the trail connects Ijams Nature Center with the forks of the river wildlife area and a couple of other parks.
In addition to the main loops, the trail system features another 17 miles of trail that feed out from the main loop.
Bikers, hikers and runners are invited to begin using the trails after the city holds a ribbon cutting on Tuesday.
