Knoxville Police are investigating a pair of armed robberies in East Knoxville that may be related.

According to KPD, two men armed with handguns entered the Family Dollar at 2604 E. Magnolia Ave. around 12:21 pm.  The men failed to get any money from the business, but did take a credit card from a customer before leaving the store.

The first suspect was wearing dark gray or black clothing and is just under 6' tall with a muscular build. The second suspect was wearing black and white clothing and is approximately 6' tall with a thin build. Both suspects are in their late teens or early 20's.

About 20 minutes later and just down the street, two men matching those same descriptions robbed a Cricket store located at 2131 E. Magnolia Ave.  This time, the suspects got away with some cash from the business and took off.

No one was injured in either robbery.
