A Bradley County woman accused in the deaths of her two young sons is now formally charged with murder.
26-year-old Natasha Bates was in court Monday. She's charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated child neglect, and four drug-related charges.
In June, Bates' 3 and 5-year-old sons died from hyperthermia. Autopsy reports show their body temperatures reached 105 degrees.
Police believe the two were trapped inside a car.
Bates had told police her children had drowned.
The boys' grandmother was in the courtroom. She's currently taking care of their older brother, Skyler.
She says they both share one wish.
"You know, I don't hope the absolute worst things happen to her that can. I hope she finds God and that's what Skyler is praying for, that his mother finds God," she said.
The judge appointed bates an attorney. Her next court date is set for November.
