Zach Coffey asks: "What is a dew point?"

By definition, the dew point is a temperature at which the air becomes saturated.

Here's a good example: if the dew point and the air temperature are the same, the humidity is 100 percent. That's when you get fog development.

So, higher dew points mean there's more moisture or humidity in the air. This means it will be more humid.

Conversely, lower dew points mean drier air is present, which typically means more comfortable conditions.

One final note: the lower the dew point, the lower the temperature can fall, meaning cool nights and mornings!
