The Loudon County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a boy was hit and killed by a train late Tuesday night.
Investigators say the incident happened around 10:30 pm on the railroad tracks just outside the Lenoir City limits off Martel Road.
The identity of the victim has not been released. Investigators say it was a male juvenile.
