Final services are in place for an East Tennessee woman who fought for sound education and civil rights for all.
Sarah Moore Greene passed away on Wednesday.
She was a long-time educator and civil rights leader, and the first African-American to serve on the board of education in Knoxville.
A memorial service is now set for Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church here in Knoxville.
Funeral services are set for Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at Greater Warner Ame Zion Church. Burial will follow.
