A high school student who couldn't attend her school's home opener Friday was there in spirit, thanks to her classmates.

16-year-old Amelia Keown died in a car wreck Tuesday afternoon on Highway 411.

She attended William Blount where she was on the dance team, and on Friday students organized a "pink out" where they all wore pink to remember her before the game against Sevier County. They also released balloons.

THP says 44-year-old John Perkins crossed into Keown's lane of traffic and crashed into her vehicle. He also died.
