Another East Tennessee Olympian and gold medalist is back on his home turf. U.S. swimmer and gold medalist Davis Tarwater stepped off a plane at McGhee-Tyson Airport just before 3 a.m.

"I'm just relieved to be back home. I think it's going to be a great couple of weeks, and i should be around this fall, and I'm just really excited to be back," said Tarwater.

He's returning from the games in London where he helped the U.S. Men's relay team capture gold in the 4x200 meter freestyle.

The Webb graduate says he's just glad to share the result of his Olympic dream with everyone in East Tennessee.

"I'm really excited about the chance to be back in Knoxville," said Tarwater, "to just share this medal and share this opportunity with the community that's been so supportive of my dreams."

The gold medalist says he will be in town as well as on the road now that the 2012 olympics are in the books. He expects to be hosting clinics and other speaking engagements.
