The Pigeon Force Police Department confirmed a car struck and killed a
pedestrian from Virginia, while she was crossing the 441 parkway on Friday
night at 11:19.
Authorities said the 61-year-old woman was hit in front of the Howard Johnson Hotel located on 2826 Parkway in Pigeon Forge.
An officer said the police department has contacted the victim's family, but authorities are not releasing the woman's name at this time.
Police say they will not release any more details about this case, while the investigation is pending.
