The stage is set for Alcoa and Maryville to square off in the national spotlight next week. The Tornadoes and Rebels will both be 1-0 heading into their annual game next Sunday, which will be televised on ESPN2.

Alcoa trailed Webb early, but tied things up on an end around to Malik Love and fought its way to a 14-7 win.

Maryville cruised to a 41-17 win over Cleveland behind Shawn Prevo's 200+ rushing yards and four touchdowns.

Harlan County (Kentucky) beat Morristown East 36-0 last season. This year the Black Bears returned to Burke-Toney Stadium to give Mo' West a shot.

Will Gardner found Drew Epps in the endzone with less than a minute left in the first half to put the Trojans up 21-19.

The Morristown West defense came up huge early in the second half. On the first drive, Harlan County marched to the one yard line but the Trojan D stuffed the Black Bears on 3rd and 4th down to hold the lead.

Morristown West went on to win 35-25.

Penny Smith and Dean Taylor hooked up for two scores as Fulton blanked Morristown East, 33-0.
