Peyton Manning Pass on the University of Tennessee's campus now looks like the field in Neyland Stadium just before "Football Time in Tennessee" and the new academic year.

This season, when fans walk this familiar route to football games, the two orange and white checkerboard end zones and the Power T painted on the road, will help get them in the mood for football.

Peyton Manning Pass runs from Volunteer Boulevard to Phillip Fulmer Drive, right in front of Neyland Stadium.  It's the main road for the Vol Walk, which is a football Saturday tradition.

Workers finished painting and working on this road over the weekend, just before students moved into their dorms.

This project was funded by the UT's Senior Gift Campaign Fund, which started back in 1991 and has raised more than $400,000.  Nearly 700 graduates from the classes of 2007 through 2009 donated money for the road's $20,000 facelift.  Workers repaved the road, stamped designs into its pavement and then painted it with road-grade paint.  Its contractor was National Pavement.

A dedication for the renovated Peyton Manning Pass will be held this fall.
