A Monroe County man is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of a woman.
According to investigators, deputies were dispatched to a shooting at 2406 Old Hwy 68 in Sweetwater around 11:15 Thursday night.
They arrested Ray Charles White, 54, and tried to save Alonda Ann Underwood, 26, who had been shot in the head.
Underwood was taken to UT Medical Center where she later died.
Investigators believe a domestic dispute led to the shooting.
White is being held at the Monroe County jai under a $250,000 bond.

Officials are investigating a domestic dispute that ended with a woman being shot in the head.
It happened at a home off Old Highway 68 just after 11:10 Thursday night.
According to Monroe County Sheriff's Office the female victim died from her injuries.
The Sheriff's Office says they do have a suspect in custody. Second Degree Murder charges are expected to be filed against him.
No names are being released at this time.
