One man is dead after McMinn County Sheriff's Officers say he was shot and stabbed during a domestic dispute.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in Riceville just after noon on Sunday. When they arrived, they found the body of 60-year-old Dennis Patterson dead from gunshot and stab wounds.
According to Sheriff Joe Guy, the incident appeared to be a domestic dispute between Patterson and Jason Baker, the nephew of Patterson's wife Lois.
Baker now faces first degree murder charges. Authorities are currently holding him without bond at the McMinn County Justice Center. His arraignment is set for Monday morning in General Sessions Court.
