Some hardcore Vol fans gave up the comfort of their beds for the night to camp out on campus.
They wanted to be one of the first ones in line to get tickets for UT's season opener Friday night in Atlanta.
The Vols will take on North Carolina State at 7:30 pm in the Georgia Dome. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
Student tickets went on sale Monday morning at 8:00 am, but some of these fans had been camping out since 7 pm or earlier Sunday night.
They say the best seats are first come first serve and the wait is worth it.
"Certain groups of people know each other but just you know, people come together. But we're all friends now I guess," said Nick Tate, a UT senior.
"We're huge Vol fans and we want the best seats so we can get the best view and cheer them on," said Taylor Bullock, a recent UT graduate.
