Boomsday isn't the only show in town this weekend.
The City of Athens held their long awaited Fourth of July fireworks celebration.
They decided to postpone the show after a lawn mower spark ignited a fire on Athens Regional Park field used for the show.
That experience, coupled with the continued threat from heat and drought prompted city officials to move to the show to Labor Day weekend.
Parks and Recreation Director Austin Fesmire says they were expecting 15,000 to 20,000 people.
