Police indentify the victim of an East Knoxville shooting

The Knoxville Police Department has released the name of the victim shot inside an East Knoxville business on Sunday morning.

Officers said  Esley D. Clemons, 35, was shot at the Rocks Grand Lounge on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  Authorities said they found Clemons at the scene and transported him to UT Medical Center around 4:15 this morning.

Clemons later died at the hospital.  Investigators said they are still speaking with witnesses and are not releasing any more information at this time.

One person is dead after Knoxville Police say they were shot at an East Knoxville business.

Police responded to the Rocks Grand Lounge on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. around 4:15 a.m. They found the victim at the scene, who had been shot. They were transported to UT Medical Center.

The victim later died at the hospital. The victim's name has not been released. Knoxville Police are still investigating.
