Two teenagers are being charged with aggravated robbery after an early morning carjacking.

According to a report by the Knoxville Police Department it happened at about 1:30 a.m. Monday on Davida Lane and Merchants Drive.

According to a report the victim was at a red light when the suspects approached his car on foot and asked for a cigarette.

The victim says that is when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and ordered him out of the car.

Both suspects attempted to drive off but because they could not drive a stick shift, the vehicle stalled and they both fled on foot.

They were quickly arrested and KPD Officers recovered the firearm.

Jamel Wilson, 18, of Knoxville and his 15- year-old accomplice were charged with Aggravated Robbery.

This investigation is currently on going.
