A woman was found passed out in her car outside a Knox County elementary school Friday morning.

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, they were called to check out an abandoned car in the student drop off zone at  A.L. Lotts Elementary School in West Knox County around 7:00 am.

Deputies discovered Jessica Marie Morris, 27, sleeping inside.  When she woke up, she couldn't tell officers how she got there.

Investigators discovered that Morris' car, a grey Lexus RX350, was inoperable. It appeared as though she had driven it over a curb, causing two tires to blow out.

Deputies gave Morris a field sobriety test, which she failed. She was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
