A couple is accused of stealing a hotel's safe, and the crime was caught on camera.
It happened Friday at Mountain View Lodge in Corbin, which is in Whitley County, Kentucky.
The hotel's manager, Theresa Kranz, believes the two plotted the crime for weeks.
She says she let the couple, identified as Billy Wright and Juanita Day, stay at the hotel for several months in exchange for work because they had no money and no place to go.
Kranz says hotel cameras on Friday show a woman distracting hotel managers while a man steals the hotel safe and runs out the door.
Kranz says she was taken advantage of, and she is now warning other hotels.
"The more people that know about it, maybe the next person won't get hit, and they will hit again. I mean there's no doubt, they'll hit somebody. They seem like nice enough people, just too nice," she said.
Officials say the couple has not been arrested and is still on the run.
