Working on tips from the public and a preliminary investigation, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office discovered pain medicine, meth, and drug-selling materials while serving a search warrant at a residence in Tellico Plains.
A search of the home on the 1500 block of Mecca Pike on August 31st revealed various prescription medications including Hydrocodone and Roxicodone, and a form of meth called "Ice." The sheriff's office says the prescription medications were not in pharmacy bottles. Investigators also found notes, packaging materials, digital scales, and money near the drugs. Those items and one vehicle were seized in the investigation.
The only resident, Colleen Olley, and several people at the home or on the property were detained, interviewed, and released.
A Monroe County Grand Jury heard the results of the investigation September 5th. Colleen Olley, 51-years-old, was then charged on September 10th with possession of schedule II and schedule III for resale.
