Campbell County now has a new school.

Leaders cut the ribbon on East LaFollette Learning Center Tuesday.

It's an alternative learning center in Jellico, but even before the official opening, students used the site to learn.

Trade students actually helped in the construction process, doing things like securing new windows and doors.

"This gives them hands-on experience to be able to apply that in their classroom, to come out, see what a commercial job is, be able to know the safety factors, OSHA, it's just a real good program," said Rector Miller, a building committee chairman.

This is the second of two new schools for Campbell County.
