WASHINGTON (AP) -- The U.S. has been tightening security at American missions worldwide following the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya that killed the U.S. ambassador and three American members of his staff.

A second U.S. warship is headed to the Libyan coast.

The destroyer USS Laboon moved into position Wednesday.
