Community members joined Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett Friday for the second Lunch with the Mayor.
It was held at Love That Barbeque on Maryville Pike in South Knoxville.
Mayor Burchett chatted with community members and says this event is an informal way for residents to get to know him.
His hope is that this series will increase support for locally-owned businesses.
"I like the chains and everything, but you've got multi-national corporations that own them and it's just good to have locally-owned folks, locally-owned entrepreneurs, and I want people to know, Knox County is a good place to do business," he said.
The first Lunch with the Mayor was last month at Harby's Pizza and Deli.
