The man charged with assaulting a tow truck driver earlier this month has waived his preliminary hearing.
Tycorrian Taylor has been charged with aggravated assault after prosecutors say he attacked Ron Gandy, a tow truck driver who was trying to tow Taylor's car for being illegally parked.
Taylor's case now goes to the grand jury.
Meanwhile, Gandy remains at UT Medical Center, but the family has requested the hospital release no information about his condition.
