More than 4,000 vol fans came out for a waste-free tailgate party before the Tennessee kickoff against Akron on Saturday night.
All the food, plates and utensils at the Parent's Association Tailgate was either compositable or recyclable.
Organizers said just three years ago, the same tailgate produced more than 30 trash bags full of garbage. But today, there was zero.
The tailgate was part of the University of Tennessee "Make Orange Green" initiative. This was the "No Waste" tailgate's second year.
