Police: Autistic man from Tazewell found safe

Tazewell police say a man who is severely autistic has been found safe.

Police Chief Mark Lamb says Brandon Travis Brewer was found Tuesday just off Bailey Hollow Road just outside the Tazewell city limits. They say he had lost his shoes and his glasses, and had been out in the elements since he went missing.

Officials say he had minor scratches and bruises and was taken to the Claiborne County hospital for treatment. They say he is doing well and in good spirits.

A Tazewell man has been reported missing. Police say he severely autistic and needs medication.

23-year-old Brandon Travis Brewer was last seen Sunday afternoon at 1. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, tennis shoes, a tan colored satchel, and glasses with black frames.

He is 5'9" tall, 170 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
