A Vonore woman is dead after a wreck on State Route 72 in Loudon County.
The crash happened around 6 a.m. Tuesday at State Route 72 and Watkins Road.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, a car driven by Michelle Gross, 60, crossed the center line while traveling west and hit a cargo truck head-on.
Gross died in the crash. The driver of the truck was injured.
The road was closed for hours while crews worked to clear the scene and reconstruct the accident.
No charges are pending in the crash.
