Last year during Week 6, Alcoa took its third loss in a season that saw the Tornadoes' streak of seven straight state championships come to an end.

This year, the Tornadoes are looking like a powerhouse again. Alcoa steamrolled Kingston 56-0 on Thursday night.

The Tornadoes defense looks dominant after pitching its third straight shutout. Kingston didn't even cross midfield until late in the fourth quarter, well after the Alcoa starters left the game. And they didn't get far, reaching the Alcoa 46 yard-line.

A halfback pass from Jaquez Tyson to Kenny Dean opened the scoring. Malik Love took a screen pass 49 yards to the endzone on the next possession. Then Mustafa Anthony forced a fumble that led to a Tyson touchdown run and Alcoa led 21-0.

The Tornadoes took a 33-0 lead into halftime and the clock ran continuously in the second half.

Powell's defense has rebounded from allowing 43 points to Anderson County in Week 4. The Panthers held Karns to seven points last week and did the same to Hardin Valley in a 28-7 win.
