A burglary suspect was unable to escape the long arm of the law after getting stuck in a vent while trying to break into a storage room losing his pants in the process.
According to a press release, witnesses said a male was knocking on doors around 2:30 a.m. in an apartment complex.
When officers checked out the complaint at Mountain Springs Apartment Complex, they found the suspect's legs hanging from an open vent in the laundry room wall six feet off the ground.
Police say the suspect was too big for the hole. He was trapped. On the other side of the wall was a locked tool storage area.
The officer grabbed the suspect by his pant legs trying to free him. But the suspect slid out of his pants and the hole into the storage area.
The suspect then ran from the storage area trying to outrun the police. But officers caught up with him.
The suspect recieved minor injuries.
He has not been identified but is facing burglary and other possible charges.
