2 killed in Grainger Co. accident

Two Sneedville women were killed in a two vehicle accident on Highway 11W Monday morning.

According to a THP accident report, both were passengers in a Ford Flex that was hit head on by a Ford Taurus around 9:00 a.m.

The Taurus, driven by 32-year-old Kenneth C. Morris of Thorn Hill, TN, was traveling southbound when it crossed the center line striking the Flex.

Morris and the driver of the Flex, 30-year-old Derek A. Marion of Sneedville, were both injured.  Both were wearing their seat belts.

The passengers of the Flex, 43-year-old Rebaca J. Ferguson and 41-year-old Lisa J. Rodefer, were both killed.  Ferguson was wearing a seat belt.  Rodefer was not.

No citations were filed.  Charges are pending.
