The Monroe County Sheriff's department is investigating an incident where a woman pulled a handgun on two bear hunters.
Saturday morning two men were loading their bear dogs into the back of a truck when a car pulled in behind them. The woman driver got out of the car and confronted the men.
They said she pulled a handgun and pointed at the head of one of the hunters. She then pulled back the hammer, cocking the firearm.
The woman then waived the gun around and fired a round into the ground near the unarmed men. After firing the weapon, she then got back into her car and left.
One of the hunters was able to get the car's license tag number and give it to the investigating deputy.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says they have identified the woman and the case remains under investigation.
