Some East Tennessee veterans are spending the day touring the monuments built in their honor in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
The HonorAir flight took off early this morning from McGhee Tyson Airport, and landed in D.C. around 10:30.
Dozens of veterans and their companions will tour the war memorials on the national mall, then return to Knoxville around 8:15 this evening.
Everyone is invited to the airport to give these heroes the welcome home they deserve!
