The first 2012 presidential debate has Americans talking across the country and in East Tennessee, including a large group of UT students.
The Baker Center on campus hosted a watch party for students.
After the debate was over, they discussed and analyzed the candidates and the issues with each other and via teleconference with other groups around the state.
Two students, Lisa Dicker, who leans left, and Hannah Bailey, who leans right, shared their impressions with 10News afterward as well.
Officials at the Baker Center said previous watch events have been a stimulating and enjoyable way to better understand the issues and what's at stake in an election.
