A Clinton police officer was injured in a car crash while on duty Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 1:45 p.m. on Charles Seivers Boulevard near Nave Street, according to Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper Joey Lindsay.
Clinton Police Officer Brad Kidwell was driving eastbound on Charles Seivers when another car on Nave Street pulled out in front of him to turn left and head westbound.
Officer Kidwell struck the side of that vehicle.
He was transported to UT Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Chief Rick Scarbrough, who was headed to the hospital.
