State labor officials have started enforcing new unemployment requirements. We told you about the changes last week.

The longer a person is jobless, the less salary he or she can refuse and still keep unemployment benefits.

After 13 weeks, a person offered a job at 75 percent of their previous salary could lose benefits for not accepting it. After 38 weeks, that percentage drops to 65 percent of their previous salary.
