A student at the Tennessee School for the Deaf was robbed Tuesday evening while walking to the school's campus.
The robbery happened at 7:26 p.m. as the adult student was walking on Spence Place in the Island Home neighborhood, according to a spokesperson for the Knoxville Police Department.
The student, whom police did not identify, told officers a large man wearing a mask walked up to him and demanded money.
The victim said he didn't have any, and he was cut on the forearm during a struggle with the suspect.
The suspect ran on foot, and the victim was treated at Children's Hospital for minor injuries.
No arrests had been made, police said.
