Knox County hazmat crews evaluated a train derailment at 220 Heiskell Avenue in North Knoxville Friday morning.
Knox County dispatchers told 10News two Gulf and Ohio cars containing ethanol derailed.
A minor leak was reported, but emergency crews said no one was in danger.
The derailment happened at the site of the old Coster Shop, close to I-275.
The investigation was turned over to the Gulf and Ohio rail company.
"We just come in and make sure there's no fire or other hazard. Once we deem that safe, the railroad brings their crews in to do what they need to do," said Knoxville Fire Department Assistant Chief Brent Seymour.
No injuries were reported.
