Dozens of teams dressed in costumes and ran in the "Knox Venture Race" on Saturday, which raises money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee.
More than 200 people raced through the streets of Downtown Knoxville testing their mental and physical skills in order to complete eight challenges.
Knox Venture Race Co-Chair Courtney Russell says the race was a great way for people to learn more about Downtown Knoxville while helping out a great cause.
"We've help over 1,000 children last year, but we still have 100 children on a waiting list, waiting to be matched with a Big," said Russell. "So it's a way for people to come out, support the organization, just have fun with their friends and family, dress in silly costumes and see the sights downtown."
The money raised through this event goes towards the Sports Buddies program at Big Brothers Big Sisters.
