A North Carolina-based shipping and distribution company is expanding in East Tennessee.
On Wednesday, Old Dominion Freight Line celebrated the completion of a multi-million dollar expansion at its Morristown service center. It's one of the largest facilities in the company's network.
The investment helped expand the center which initially had 246 doors.
"We acquitted an additional 30 acres and put a 100-door addition onto the facility. Plus, a new maintenance shop which doubled the size and capacity," said David Congdon, president of Old Dominion Freight Line.
The investment also allowed the company to hire dozens of new employees in recent months.
Old Dominion Freight Line has more than 200 service centers across the country.
