So when you get dared to be "trained" on something that you would normally walk away from I get nervous.
Photographer JJ and I head out to the KUB training facility. After my debriefing and clothing change we were ready. Honestly I had no real idea what natural gas smelled like. So, with trained professionals I learned a lot about what you should do when there is a gas leak and how to spot one.
It always gives you a little more respect when you realize what folks have to do in their jobs and sometimes an honest mistake can put others in danger. The big lesson here for me was the 811 number... call before you dig. Even if it is something as simple as a mail box.
