A church in Seymour invited people to watch a group of strong men bend steel and tear apart solid wood. Team Impact is a Texas-based organization made up of former athletes who travel around the country showing off their strength.
Wednesday evening at Seymour First Baptist Church the team ripped phone books in half, bent steel and shattered baseball bats using only their hands, but what makes the group unique is that they perform all of these feats of strength to tell others about Jesus.
"It's simply a bait, it's to draw attention, to get people's attention and by doing these feats of strength, it opens up their emotions and then we can give them a clear representation of the Gospel and you see God moving the crowd with this amazing feat of strength. The biggest feat of all is to see people raise their hand and come to know Jesus Christ," said Chip Minton with Team Impact.
Minton was a member of the 1994 and 1998 U.S. Olympic bobsled teams, and was a professional wrestler in the World Championship Wrestling series.
