With less than two weeks until election day, Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan was in the Tri-Cities Thursday.
A large crowd turned out to hear Ryan speak at a rally in Bristol, Virginia.
Ryan told coal country that the "war on coal" will end if Romney takes the ticket.
This battleground state has been a popular spot for candidates in the race for the White House.
"You have the unique responsibility and opportunity, only a handful of states will determine this, this is the most important election of our lives, no matter what generation you come from," said Ryan.
President Obama visited several swing states on Thursday.
