Surveillance pictures show the three suspects outside Discount Tobacco Saturday.

At funeral services Tuesday, family and friends remembered a murdered Knoxville store clerk.

The wife of Parvez Ahmed told 10News her husband was laid to rest.

A man shot Ahmed during an attempted robbery at Discount Tobacco store on East Magnolia Saturday evening.

Tuesday, customers described Ahmed as a caring man.

"I cried," said Pete Johnson of East Knoxville.  "I really did.  They were good people.  I don't see why somebody killed somebody.  That doesn't make any sense."

Johnson said he visited the store minutes before Saturday's fatal attempted robbery.

"If it came to 25 cents and you only had 20 cents, you could bring the nickel back.  That's a nice guy," Johnson said while describing Ahmed.

The Knoxville Police Department believes the three suspects live in the Knoxville area.  Police hope surveillance pictures lead to arrests.

"We have several leads at this time," said Knoxville Police Department spokesperson Darrell DeBusk.  "We have a lot of evidence from the scene we're still analyzing."

If you know any of the suspects, you're asked to call KPD's Crime Information Line at (865) 215-7212.  Callers can remain anonymous.
