Royal Chef Darren McGrady

 Tinsel and Treasure Luncheon featuring The Royal Chef. Darren McGrady describes his 15 years as a Royal Chef. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Knoxville Convention Center. Tickets and table sponsorships are available at www.jlknoxville.org.

Tinsel and Treasure

The Junior League of Knoxville's Tinsel & Treasure features merchants from across the country for ONE weekend in Knoxville, and you won't want to miss it. Enjoy the "man cave" on Saturday and Sunday (for football viewing), kid's corner on Sunday (with varied crafts) along with a children's choir and dance performances, plus a visit from Santa Claus. Tinsel & Treasure benefits the Junior League of Knoxville's diverse community causes.

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 2: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 3: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 4: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the door, but free on Nov. 3 during the UT football game.

WHERE: Knoxville Convention Center

PARKING: All city and county lots offer free parking on weekdays after 6 p.m. and all day on the weekends. Free parking on game day (Nov. 3) for Tinsel shoppers will be available in the Poplar St. lot.

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"

The Children's Theatre of Knoxville presents "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", based on the short story by Washington Irving

 Help make Christmas better for individuals facing Alzheimer's and dementia in Knoxville and surrounding counties this year by participating in the "Big Red Bow Project".

For the first time, Lexus of Knoxville, Alzheimer's Tennessee, and B97.5 are teaming up - and seeking your support - in an effort to serve area seniors who will benefit from special attention and gifts during the holiday season, especially those who may not have local family support.

Step out Walk to Stop Diabetes

The American Diabetes Association's East Tennessee office is hosting the annual Knoxville Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes this Sunday, November 4 at World's Fair Park in downtown Knoxville from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Registration is free and anyone who raises $100 in donations receives an event shirt and can participate in day-of festivities.
