University of Tennessee Homecoming activities run Friday & Saturday on the University of Tennessee campus and in Knoxville.

The Tennessee Vols face off against Troy at Neyland Stadium. Kick-off is at Noon, Fox Sports Net will carry the game.

Comedienne Leanne Morgan will host a show at The Square Room at Market Square. The show starts at 7:40pm, doors open at 6pm, tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Chilhowee Park will host the Great

Knoxville Ice Bears opens their season with a game against the Huntsville Havoc on Friday night at the Civic Coliseum. Puck drops at 7:30pm. On Saturday,they'll travel to Augusta, Georgia to take on the Riverhawks.

The Market Square Farmers' Market continues Saturday from 9am to 2pm at Market Square, most vendors accept cash only!

The Blount County Fire Protection District's "Coats for our Community" fundraiser is Saturday at 9am at the Auction House of Tennessee (East Broadway in Maryville). Auction items range from gift cards to car with proceeds go to help buy coats for area children.

The Junior League of Knoxville's annual Tinsel & Treasure returns to the Knoxville Convention Center.|
