Investigators with the Tennessee Highway Patrol are trying to find a driver who may have witnessed a fatal accident Thursday night in Seymour.

THP says Charles L. Lawson, 31, of Sevierville, was driving north on South Old Sevierville Pike near Bell Chapel Lane around 10:10 pm when he tried to pass another vehicle, lost control, and crashed into a brick mailbox.  He died of his injuries.

Investigators want to talk to the driver of the other vehicle, which they believe was a four-door white Ford Dually pickup truck. The vehicle is not believed to have been damaged in the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information on the wreck is urged to contact the Tennessee Highway Patrol Knoxville District Headquarters at 865-594-5800.
